Having gone from years of homelessness and rejection to becoming one of the top female contemporary painters in the world is in itself an inspiring and beautiful journey - in many ways, a painting in life.
Ashley Collins [Born 1967] did not set out to become the next "Wow" of the art world. Rather she had a simple goal some 30 years ago - to bring stunning beauty and love back to the world of contemporary art - to make depth filled paintings people could touch, feel, experience - paintings that would inspire, lift and provide dreams for future generations. These goals were initially rejected by the contemporary art world, more prone to embrace anger and momentary wow.
Robert Rauschenberg said of her paintings "Through her eyes and vision I have seen the pain, confidence and struggle of my own journey, and perhaps that is what touches us all."
